Description: This course is for people who wish to access employment, education and training to:

- enhance career opportunities and employment pathways;
- develop communication skills for accessing and maintaining employment;
- gain skills to retrain or enter the workforce with vocational competencies;
- prepare for further education and training. 
Entry requirements: There are no entry requirements for this course. 
Learning pathways: Pathways include:
- further education and training and work requiring Certificate III level entry
- Vocational Education and Training for a Training Package qualification at a Certificate III level
- Vocational Education and Training for a Training Package qualification at a Certificate IV level.

This course is for people who wish to develop skills to access employment, education and training and to improve their communication skill, particularly for work and employment. Learners will also learn how to operate a computer, use word processors and spreadsheets and search effectively on the Internet. Learners will develop knowledge and skills in workplace Maths, English and Science.

This course also provides students with a pathway to further studies such as the Higher School Certificate, Tertiary Preparation and other TAFE Certificates III and IV courses.
