Description: This course is designed for people who require:
- literacy, numeracy and digital technology skills development to pass the NSW Driver Knowledge Test
- support and confidence to participate further in formal education.

On successful completion of this course, the learner should be able to pass the NSW Driver Knowledge Test. 
Entry requirements: There are no entry requirements for this course. 
Learning pathways: There are no occupational outcomes, however when the driver licence has been attained, this will assist people to gain employment.

Pathways from this course include:
- FSK10113 Certificate I in Access to Vocational Pathways
- FSK10213 Certificate I in Skills for Vocational Pathways
- FSK20113 Certificate II in Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways
- Training Package Qualifications at AQF levels 1 and 2
- Other accredited courses at AQF Levels 1 and 2.

About: This course is designed for people who require;

There is an expectation that you will engage in a range of activities to support your supervised learning which may include:
• Independent study
• Work placement or simulated workplace activities
• Research and projects
• Preparation of assessment tasks
• Field/industry visits
• Tutorials
• Learning support

Course fees: $1,080
Fee explanatory text: You may be required to pay an additional fee to cover course specific materials, resources, equipment and services associated with your enrolment. This is in addition to the TAFE NSW fee.
Comments: Classes commence on Friday 12 October 2017 at 10am-2.30pm at Queanbeyan Campus, Block E, Ground Floor, Room 16.

Recognition is the process by which you can demonstrate you already have the skills or competencies taught in a unit or qualification. It is the recognition of the skills, knowledge and experience you have gained through previous studies, work and life in general. Put simply, it means if you can demonstrate you already have the skills and experience you can complete a part or a whole qualification without needing to attend classes.

There are two types of Recognition:
• Credit Transfer, which allows you to receive credit for unit/s of competency previously successfully completed.
• Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), which is an assessment process of your previous skills, knowledge and experience to meet the requirements of the course you are enrolled.
