Scheduled attendance: Training will be conducted over one day at Wollongong TAFE Campus, Block J, room J20, 8:30am to 4:00pm. Please arrive 10 minutes prior to the commencement of training.

About: Your learning commitment for this qualification is a minimum of 6 supervised hours There is an expectation that you will engage in a range of activities to support your supervised learning which may include:

• Field/industry visits
• Tutorials
• Learning support

This course is for people who wish to work in the construction industry and require a NSW Construction Induction (White Card) You must be over 14 years old before the assessment date.

If you don’t already have a USI, you can easily create one at https://www.usi.gov.au/students/create-your-usi. Once you have your USI, you can add TAFE Illawarra to your USI account via the Manager Permissions page on the USI website. EVIDENCE OF IDENTIFICATION (EOI) - 100 points.
Participants attending this course are required to provide 100 points Evidence of identity (EOI) to the WorkCover Accredited Trainer
* Evidence of identity must be presented to the trainer at the commencement of the class.
* Anyone failing to bring sufficient EOI with them CANNOT BE ADMITTED TO THE CLASS AND NO REFUND WILL BE GIVEN.

You will need:
* Stationary 
Comments: Wear comfortable, practical clothing and enclosed footwear.

You must be a minimum of 14 years of age.

You must understand and speak the English language at a level that enables the safe performance on a construction site.

You must provide 100 points of identification at the start of the class including (1) form of current photo identification. A list of approved ID can be found on the SafeWork NSW website, www.safework.nsw.gov.au. You will be unable to remain in the class if you cannot provide the required identification.
You will also require a Unique Student Identifier (USI). To obtain a USI, visit https://www.usi.gov.au/

TAFE NSW reserves the right to cancel a course if insufficient numbers and will endeavour to give participants as much notice as possible. Upon cancellation by TAFE NSW a full refund is made.

Recognition is the process by which you can demonstrate you already have the skills or competencies taught in a unit or qualification. It is the recognition of the skills, knowledge and experience you have gained through previous studies, work and life in general. Put simply, it means if you can demonstrate you already have the skills and experience you can complete a part or a whole qualification without needing to attend classes.

There are two types of Recognition:
• Credit Transfer, which allows you to receive credit for unit/s of competency previously successfully completed.
• Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), which is an assessment process of your previous skills, knowledge and experience to meet the requirements of the course you are enrolled.
