Description: This program is for persons requiring a safe working knowledge of the operation of skid steer loaders. This unit involves the skills and knowledge required to operate a skid steer loader in compliance with the relevant state/territory authority licence requirements and regulations, in a variety of operational contexts. It includes checking skid steer loader condition, driving skid steer loader to fulfil operational requirements, and monitoring and maintaining skid steer loaders performance and site conditions. Assessment of this unit will be undertaken as part of the program as there are currently no external licencing requirements.
You will complete one unit of competence:
• RIIMPO318E Conduct civil construction skid steer loader operations 
Other requirements: You will need to wear appropriate clothing (PPE), steel capped boots, bring a hard hat, pen, note paper and calculator. 
Entry requirements: There are no pre-requisite requirements for this course. 
Learning pathways: These units of competence may contribute to higher level qualifications in Civil Construction, Civil Construction Plant Operations, Forest Growing or Agriculture
