Description: TAFE NSW is offering a short course in School Aged Care Skill Set that will give you the experience and confidence that you need to apply for the job you would like or gain experience in a career that you are already in.
In this course you will learn the skills and knowledge required to develop and implement play and leisure experiences for children participating in school age care. You will also learn the skills and knowledge required to engage and interact with children in school age care services. These units apply to educators working in school age care services. This skill set will also give you 2 units that may go towards further study in the Child Care industry. 
Entry requirements: All participants enrolling in to this course will require a Unique Student Identifier (USI) - www. usi.gov.au 
Learning pathways: This may help you to articulate into further study in Community Services Training Packages 
Career opportunities: Looking after school aged children in a child care centre environment.

This is Fully Government Subsidised training. To be eligible you must be:
- aged 15 years or older
- live or work in New South Wales
- have left school
- are an Australian citizen, permanent resident, humanitarian visa holder or New Zealand citizen
