Scheduled attendance: The block release program will run over 4 consectuive days, 7 times during the year, mostly during the cooler months when work is a little less busy. Class starts at 7.30am and finishes at 3.30pm. Block on your first day.

Your learning commitment for this qualification is a minimum of 920 supervised hours There is an expectation that you will engage in a range of activities to support your supervised learning which may include:

• Work placement or simulated workplace activities
• Research and projects
• Preparation of assessment tasks
• Field/industry visits
• Tutorials
• Learning support

Required student skills This is a Certificate III level course. Individuals undertaking this course will be required to undertake one or more of the activities listed above.

This course is for people working in the landscape industry. Ideally the course is for apprentices but if you are, or are planning on working as a landscaper this course will be best for you. You will learn about all aspects of landscaping including, decks, walls, plants and paving. You must wear boots, shorts and a shirt and please bring a hat.

Recognition is the process by which you can demonstrate you already have the skills or competencies taught in a unit or qualification. It is the recognition of the skills, knowledge and experience you have gained through previous studies, work and life in general. • Credit Transfer, which allows you to receive credit for unit/s of competency previously successfully completed.
• Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), which is an assessment process of your previous skills, knowledge and experience to meet the requirements of the course you are enrolled.
