Description: This qualification allows individuals to develop post-trade skills and knowledge to become specialists within the agriculture industry. It is designed to meet the needs of supervisors or team leaders in the agriculture industry.

About: Your learning commitment for this qualification is a minimum of 605 supervised hours There is an expectation that you will engage in a range of activities to support your supervised learning which may include:

Required student skills This is a Certificate IV level course. Skills to study effectively include research and interpretation of information, referencing, time management and ability to work on projects and or in a team.

This course is for people who want to develop their technical skills and knowledge for positions with livestock, cropping or mixed farming enterprises. Jobs include Farm Manager, specialist livestock production manager and owner manager small farm production.

Recognition is the process by which you can demonstrate you already have the skills or competencies taught in a unit or qualification. It is the recognition of the skills, knowledge and experience you have gained through previous studies, work and life in general. Put simply, it means if you can demonstrate you already have the skills and experience you can complete a part or a whole qualification without needing to attend classes.

There are two types of Recognition:
• Credit Transfer, which allows you to receive credit for unit/s of competency previously successfully completed.
• Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), which is an assessment process of your previous skills, knowledge and experience to meet the requirements of the course you are enrolled.
