Scheduled attendance: Attendance is via block release. You are required to attend 7 blocks during the course of a calendar year for 3 years. Blocks run for 4 consecutive days, typically Monday to Thursday inclusive.

About: This course is designed for individuals employed as Mobile Plant Mechanical apprentices. You will be trained and assessed on the skills and knowledge required to be recognised as an Mobile Plant mechanic.
This qualification consists of 22 core units and 14 electives.

Students are required to provide and wear their own personal protective equipment during lessons. This includes cotton drill work shirt, trousers, steel capped safety boots or shoes and safety glasses. You will need the following resources for this course:
Text book $200 - Automotive Mechanics Auto: Ed May McGraw-Hill 2 books included Resource folder $70.00.

Recognition is the process by which you can demonstrate you already have the skills or competencies taught in a unit or qualification. It is the recognition of the skills, knowledge and experience you have gained through previous studies, work and life in general. Put simply, it means if you can demonstrate you already have the skills and experience you can complete a part or a whole qualification without needing to attend classes.

There are two types of Recognition:
• Credit Transfer, which allows you to receive credit for unit/s of competency previously successfully completed.
• Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), which is an assessment process of your previous skills, knowledge and experience to meet the requirements of the course you are enrolled.
