Description: This qualification is suitable for people who coordinate and maintain the Work Health and Safety (WHS) program in an organisation. It reflects the role of practitioners who apply a substantial knowledge base and well-developed skills in a wide variety of WHS contexts.

No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication. 
Entry requirements: All core units in BSB41415 Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety or equivalent competencies.

Equivalent competencies are predecessors to the following units which have been mapped as equivalent:
* BSBWHS402 Assist with compliance with WHS laws
* BSBWHS403 Contribute to implementing and maintaining WHS consultation and participation processes
* BSBWHS404 Contribute to WHS hazard identification, risk assessment and risk control
* BSBWHS405 Contribute to implementing and maintaining WHS management systems
* BSBWHS406 Assist with responding to incidents

Comments: Recognition is the process by which you can demonstrate you already have the skills or competencies taught in a unit or qualification. It is the recognition of the skills, knowledge and experience you have gained through previous studies, work and life in general. Put simply, it means if you can demonstrate you already have the skills and experience you can complete partial or a whole qualification without needing to attend classes.

There are two types of Recognition:
• Credit Transfer, which allows you to receive credit for unit/s of competency previously successfully completed.
• Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), which is an assessment process of your previous skills, knowledge and experience to meet the requirements of the course you are enrolled.
