Description: This skill set reflects the skill requirements for individuals who work with clients affected by gambling. 
Entry requirements: This skill set has been endorsed by industry as suitable for individuals who:

• hold a qualification at Certificate IV level or higher in a community services related discipline or
• have skills equivalent to the qualification requirement validated through a recognition of prior learning process. 
Learning pathways: These units provide credit towards a range of qualifications in the Community Services Training Package, including CHC52015 Diploma of Community Services. 
Career opportunities: This skill set is for individuals seeking to broaden their existing skills to include problem gambling work.

About: This two-day workshop will be conducted on Thursday 28 June 2018 and Friday 29 June 2018 at TAFE NSW, Wollongong Campus.

The workshop is designed for workers and volunteers in the community sector. You will learn about the contributing factors to, and impacts of, problem gambling. You will identify when gambling moves from recreational to ”problem”, and develop skills in screening for and responding to gambling issues.

This two-day workshop will be conducted on Thursday 28 June 2018 and Friday 29 June 2018 at TAFE NSW, Wollongong Campus, Block: A, Floor: Second, Room: 19, 9.30am - 3:30pm each day.
Applying and enrolling: Before you enrol you must have a Unique Student Identifier (USI). Course fees: $170
Fee explanatory text: Please enrol and pay the fee at least 7 days prior to the start date to secure your place. Cancellations should be advised in writing more than 7 days prior to commencement of the course to be eligible for a full refund. For cancellations advised within 7 days of the course no refund will be made however a substitute delegate may attend. If a substitute delegate is to attend you must contact us before the course commences. There are no fee exemptions available for commercial courses. Course fees cannot be refunded to participants who are unable to attend for reasons beyond TAFE NSW control. TAFE NSW reserves the right to cancel a course if insufficient numbers and will endeavour to give participants as much notice as possible. Upon cancellation by TAFE NSW a full refund is made.
The fee for this course is $170.00.
