About: This course is delivered via a combination of class attendance, online facilitation and off campus directed activities. Successful completion of this Certificate IV will permit entry into the University of Wollongong Bachelor program.

This is a Certificate IV level course. Skills to study effectively include research and interpretation of information, referencing, time management and ability to work on projects and or in a team. Additional required skills include using software to create documents, ability to create save and edit documents, attach and use devices and file and folder management.

Recognition is the process by which you can demonstrate you already have the skills or competencies taught in a unit or qualification. It is the recognition of the skills, knowledge and experience you have gained through previous studies, work and life in general. Put simply, it means if you can demonstrate you already have the skills and experience you can complete partial or a whole qualification without needing to attend classes.

Students will need access to a computer (at least i5 processor, 4GM RAM and 1GB video card), broadband connection, router, networked printer, scanner, Adobe Connect and other relevant technologies such as Microsoft Office. Also it would be advantageous for students to have access to a complex multi-server IT business environment at administrator level (eg. database administrator) but it is not a requirement for the course.”
