Description: This unit of competence specifies the outcomes required for the operation of a powered industrial truck equipped with a mast and an elevating load carriage to which is attached a pair of fork arms or other attachment, for licensing purposes. This will prepare the participant for their assessment. The national assessment is designed for users and operators of forklift trucks who wish to obtain a SafeWork NSW High Risk Work (HRW) license (LF). The following topics indicate the essential outcome requirements:
- Planning Work
- Conducting Routine Checks
- Shifting Load
- Shutting down and securing Forklift Truck.
Entry requirements: Participants MUST BE 18 YEARS OLD.

Participants MUST provide documents of identity that add up to 100 points on the day of assessment. These documents should be the same documents that you will provide to the Australia Post Customer Service Officer as evidence of identity when you lodge your application.

A detailed list of the POI requirements will be made available to the participant upon registration into the course.* The course fee does not include the Application Fee for the high risk licence. The cost for the licence is approximately $80. The licence is for a 5 year duration at which time it will need to be renewed for a fee, approximately $80.
