Description: This qualification reflects the role of individuals working as developing and emerging leaders and managers in a range of enterprise and industry contexts.

As well as assuming responsibility for their own performance, individuals at this level provide leadership, guidance and support to others. They also have some responsibility for organising and monitoring the output of their team.

They apply solutions to a defined range of predictable and unpredictable problems, and analyse and evaluate information from a variety of sources.

This course is offered by Connected Classroom. This is just like a regular classroom, but teachers and students use the latest video conferencing technologies. Your teacher can be in one TAFE location, and you can join the class from another TAFE location using video conferencing equipment or a mobile device. You can also join in from a venue in a participating regional community. You will be able to see and talk to your teacher and other students as though they were in the room with you. You will also have access to support to meet your learning needs.

Students will be expected to spend approximately 12 hours per week outside the classroom on directed activities and self-directed learning such as independent study, research, preparation of assessment tasks, learning support, online learning.

Students in this course must also have skills in computing, particularly word processing, and have the ability to create and save electronic files, and use the Internet for research purposes.

You need to complete 12 units - 4 Core units and 8 electives have been pre-selected.

Students should bring a USB Thumb drive, writing paper, pens, folder to their first lesson.

The expectation is that by enrolling in this qualification you commit to the time frame in which the qualification is being delivered. The proposed study schedule will be discussed and an individual training plan will be established. Should you fall behind your agreed schedule you will be required to complete additional work and learning outside scheduled class time.

In claiming the concession or exemption students will be required to supply the required evidence to support the claim in accord with the requirements of Smart and Skilled eligibility.

Payment Plans are available through TAFE NSW for Smart and Skilled eligible qualifications.

To activate your eligibility you must pay the student fee component PRIOR to commencement of the learning activity.
