Description: This qualification is superseded by and equivalent to BSB51918 Diploma of Leadership and Management. The qualifications are equivalent.

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply knowledge, practical skills and experience in leadership and management across a range of enterprise and industry contexts.

Individuals at this level display initiative and judgement in planning, organising, implementing and monitoring their own workload and the workload of others. They use communication skills to support individuals and teams to meet organisational or enterprise requirements.

They plan, design, apply and evaluate solutions to unpredictable problems, and identify, analyse and synthesise information from a variety of sources.

Twelve scheduled workshops will be conducted on Thursdays in the Learning Pod, over an 18 month enrolment period.
The timetable will be provided at commencement of the course and students are encouraged to bring their own device.

Students are required to complete 12 units, 4 core units and 8 electives which are pre-selected. Students may need to spend up to 12 hours per week outside the classroom on other learning activities for the duration of your enrolment.

Course entry requirements: students studying at this level are expected to possess technology skills to access and navigate the internet, be able to create, open and save electronic files.

Students should bring a USB Thumb drive, writing paper, pens, folder and their own device (if desired) to the scheduled workshops.

The expectation is that by enrolling in this qualification you commit to the time frame in which the qualification is delivered. Should you fall behind your agreed schedule you will be required to complete additional tasks outside scheduled class time.

Application next steps: Your application will now be assessed and we will let you know the outcome. If you indicated you would like a VET Student Loan we will be in touch with you soon to assess your eligibility and to explain how to proceed.

If you do apply for a VET Student Loan you will need to have your Tax File Number (TFN) handy. If you do not have a TFN you can apply for one through most Australia Post outlets, and obtain a Certificate of Application for a TFN. Once you receive your TFN from the Australian Tax Office (ATO) you must contact your college so they can arrange for you to enter it into your VET Student Loan application. 
Smart and Skilled: This training is subsidised by the NSW Government
(TAFE NSW - Provider Code: 90006)

The cost of this course will vary based on your eligibility for a Smart and Skilled Student Fee. Eligibility criteria can be found on the Smart and Skilled website or you can call us on 131 601 for further information and advice.

VET Student Loans are available for this course. The Unit of Study fees below apply if this is not your first qualification. Your actual fee may be less depending on your previous study. We will advise you of any fee reductions you are entitled to before you enrol.
Course fees: $2,850
Fee explanatory text: This training is subsidised by the NSW Government, and as a result your fee is determined through Training Services NSW formal eligibility criteria. This criteria will determine your exact fee. Students who meet additional specified criteria, may be eligible for a fee exemption. In claiming the exemption students will be required to supply the required evidence to support the claim in accordance with the requirements of Smart and Skilled eligibility.
