Description: Are you required to provide CPR in your workplace or community, or are compassionate about learning a skill that could save lives? The Statement of Attainment in Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation will provide you with the training you need to safely carry out CPR procedures. This course will teach you how to appropriately respond to an emergency situation, perform CPR procedures and clearly communicate details of the incident. The Statement of Attainment in Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation will be delivered on campus and can be completed in one day. Successful completion of this TAFE NSW course will enhance your opportunities to work in a first aid role that may require CPR in a range of workplace and community settings. 
Other requirements: WORK PLACEMENTS

Many TAFE courses have a compulsory work placement component to assist you to apply your learning in a practical environment and you may be required to comply with some (or all) of the following.

1. HEALTH - NSW MINISTRY OF HEALTH - If you are over 18 you will be required to undertake a National Criminal Record Check. Visit:

- You will be required to sign the NSW Health Student Undertaking where you agree to notify NSW Health if your status changes after the date of issue of your National Police Certificate or during the completion of your course.
- You will be required to undertake Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination against Infectious Diseases and provide your Health Care Worker/Student Vaccination Record Card.

- You will be required to read and sign the NSW Health Code of Conduct form.

3. COMMUNITY AND CHILDREN’S SERVICES - Anyone in child-related work (including student placements and volunteers) MUST have a current Working with Children Check (students/volunteers free) in line with the Office of Children’s Guardian phase-in schedule and processes. Visit:

4. STUDENT READINESS FOR WORK PLACEMENT - Generally work placements will only occur after there has been a reasonable amount of student/teacher contact and when the teacher is satisfied that you are ready to benefit from workplace learning and perform workplace duties. Your teacher can provide further information.

Entry requirements: There are no entry requirements for this course. 
Learning pathways: Credit for Prior Learning If you already have skills and knowledge that are relevant to your course, you may be able to apply for credit through articulation, credit transfer or recognition of prior learning.
