Description: This course provides the skills and knowledge to perform Rigging at a basic level 
Entry requirements: To be eligible for this course you must have successfully completed the pre-requisite unit CPCCLDG3001A - Licence to perform dogging.
SafeWork NSW require all applicants undertaking this training to be a minimum of 18yrs of age.

Scheduled attendance: This course is currently scheduled on Monday to Friday from 8.00am to 4.30pm. You will also be required to attend an extra day to complete your SafeWork NSW assessment (attendance date for this will be confirmed).

This is a face to face part time day course. You will need to attend approximately 48 hours of class, over 6 days a week, for 1 week.

You may also be required to complete approximately 15 hours of additional study outside of class hours, including independent study.

This course offering is designed for people who:
- Are new or existing workers that are training to become a licensed rigger. Learners undertake this unit to gain High Risk Work (HRW) licensing in basic rigging to work un-supervised whilst performing rigging work.

There are additional learning and study tools available for this course, including:
- TAFE NSW will make every reasonable effort to ensure that it can accommodate a learner’s Language, Literacy and Numeracy needs. Support is based on a review of the applicants LLN skills through written tasks and a one-on-one interview and if deemed applicable, a meeting will be arranged to discuss the LLN assistance that TAFE NSW can provide to the learner, with a view to creating an individual training and learning plan that best addresses the learner’s LLN needs.

Fee explanatory text: This training is not subsidised by Government funding. There are no fee exemptions, concessions or subsidies available for this course.

Payment of course fee must be made PRIOR to commencement of learning activity.

You will need to provide the following resources which is retained on completion of study:

- Personal Protective Equipment -hard hat, safety boots and gloves.
- A whistle will be required for the practical training and a calculator is required for the theory training.
- On completion of the SafeWork assessment, the students must apply for the high risk licence at the post office where a passport size photo is required and a fee of approximately $75 per licence class must be paid within 60 days of the SafeWork assessment being completed.
Other information: **COURSE ENTRY REQUIREMENTS**
To be enrolled in this course, you need to be able to provide evidence that you have:
- Successful completion of the unit CPCCLDG3001A Licence to perform dogging OR you are holding a valid licence for dogging.

To successfully complete this course, you will need:
- To meet HRW licensing requirements, be 18 years or over and reside in NSW.
- Candidates must have sufficient language, literacy, numeracy skills that are essential to dogging performance. Candidate must be able bodied and able to communicate & understand in English language.
- To undertake SafeWork NSW assessments in basic rigging. To be eligible to undertake the SafeWork assessment learners are required to provide 100 points of identification to the SafeWork NSW accredited trainer/assessor prior to starting the assessment. Licence units require the applicant to be of 18 years of age. On successful completion of the SafeWork assessment, the students must apply for a licence at the post office within 60 days of the assessment.

You will be provided with a timetable, assessment guides, advice about additional materials you may need to purchase and information on the support services available to you.

Activate your student portal account which allows you to check your results, see fees and payments, and download your timetable.

To activate your account, go to https://my.tafensw.edu.au and login with your username and password, which was created as part of the online enrolment process and/or included on your receipt. Call us on 131 601 if you need it to be reset.

Once logged in, change your password and create 3 secret questions and answers.

Speak with customer service staff on campus to get your TAFECard which gives you special access to printing, copying and other services.
