Description: This qualification provides a general vocational outcome in agriculture. The qualification enables individuals to select a livestock production, cropping or livestock context as a job focus or, in the case of mixed farming enterprises, both cropping and livestock.
Individuals with this qualification perform tasks in a variety of contexts, which involve some judgement in selecting equipment and services. Job roles vary across different industry sectors and may include:

Farm or station hand
Farm or station worker
Livestock transport driver.

An important step is to attend the orientation session on Monday July 22 2019 from 9.00am at Goulburn TAFE, Main Campus, Verner St, Goulburn, Building C, Room C2-4.

The Certificate 3 in Agriculture is a very practical hands on qualification provides a general vocational outcome in agriculture. The course focus is on livestock production context as a job focus including Fencing, Tractor Driving, Livestock Handling, Animal Health and Welfare and general Agriculture units of study.

Individuals with this qualification perform tasks in a variety of contexts, which involve some judgement in selecting equipment and services. Job roles vary across different industry sectors and may include - Farm or Station hand, Livestock Stud worker and livestock transport driver.

During your time in this course you will be required to complete 80 hrs of workplacement to support your learning and practical skills development. You will learn more about workplacement at your first day of attendance.

Fee explanatory text: This training is subsidised by the NSW Government, and as a result your fee is determined through Training Services NSW formal eligibility criteria. This criteria will determine your exact fee. Students who meet additional specified criteria, may be eligible for a concession fee or a fee exemption. In claiming the concession or exemption students will be required to supply the required evidence to support the claim in accord with the requirements of Smart and Skilled eligibility.

Payment Plans are available through TAFE NSW for Smart and Skilled eligible qualifications.

To activate your eligibility you must pay the student fee component PRIOR to commencement of the learning activity.
