The qualification covers both ground-based workers and those working at heights.This qualification does not require a person to work at heights, however, units that include the skills and knowledge required to work at heights, both from an elevated work platform (EWP) and by climbing trees, are included as elective streams.

The testamur issued for this qualification is to be titled AHC30815 Certificate III in Arboriculture (Climbing)

This qualification is suitable for an Australian Apprenticeship.

About: This course is best for people currently working with a qualified arborist.

There is a high level of fitness and agility needed to be able to climb trees and to be able to arrange ropes and rigging.

This is an exciting, high risk course that will help you to prune or remove trees in all locations.

You must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): boots, shorts and a shirt and please bring a hat.

We will supply all of the climbing equipment and chainsaws that are needed to complete the course.

Fee explanatory text: This training is subsidised by the NSW Government, and as a result your fee is determined through Training Services NSW formal eligibility criteria. This criteria will determine your exact fee. Students who meet additional specified criteria, may be eligible for a concession fee or a fee exemption. In claiming the concession or exemption students will be required to supply the required evidence to support the claim in accord with the requirements of Smart and Skilled eligibility.

Payment Plans are available through TAFE NSW for Smart and Skilled eligible qualifications.

To activate your eligibility you must pay the student fee component PRIOR to commencement of the learning activity.
