Description: Develop your post-trade skills and knowledge to become an agriculture specialist with the nationally recognised Certificate IV in Agriculture. Taught by agri-professionals, this course is designed to meet the needs of supervisors and team leaders in the agriculture industry.

Learn all about maintaining safe agricultural working practices, as well as other selected skills areas including:

- Cropping
- Dairy
- Livestock production
- Agribusiness
- Chemicals use
- Irrigation
- Machinery operation and maintenance
- Organic production
- Pest management

On successful completion of the course, you may find work in roles such as farm team leader, farm supervisor or shed supervisor.

The Certificate IV in Agriculture has flexible study options.

About: Your first class will be 10.00am-2.30pm on Thursday 7th February 2019 in Block E at Bega campus. This course is delivered through class based work and includes the use of online Moodle resources and practical workshops. You must have access to work placement on a suitable agricultural property throughout this course - this will need to be confirmed prior to commencement of your course. Participants are to wear long trousers and cotton drill shirt, fully enclosed leather boots and sun protection during all outdoor activities. Your timetable will be issued to you by your teachers.

A inidvidual study program will be designed in consultation with your teacher and will include the use of online Moodle resources, some face-to-face sessions and practical workshops, which will take place at our purpose built farms on our rural campus at Yallah, just north of Albion Park. It is highly recommended that you have access to a farm facility during the course to assist you with the practical components of your course. This course is delivered blended and flexibly so you can work from home and develop your skills within your farm or workplace. A inidvidual study program will be designed in consultation with your teacher and will include the use of online Moodle resources, some face-to-face sessions and practical workshops, which will take place at our purpose built farms on our rural campus at Yallah, just north of Albion Park.

Students will need writing materials, a USB stick, appropriate clothing for industry visits including solid enclosed footwear. A laptop computer is highly reccomended to allow internet research and assessment completion during class. Students will have to provide their own basic personal protective equipment (PPE).
