Description: This qualification allows individuals to develop post-trade skills and knowledge to become specialists within the agriculture industry. It is designed to meet the needs of supervisors or team leaders in the agriculture industry.

Individuals with this qualification will take responsibility for their own work and for the quality of the work of others within known parameters. They provide and communicate solutions to a range of predictable and sometimes unpredictable problems. 
Entry requirements: There are no formal entry requirements for this course.

It is assumed that you have literacy, numeracy and technical skills at Certificate III level for success in this course. Contact your TAFE NSW campus if you have any questions about your suitability.

This course is for people who want to develope their technical knowlede for positions with livestock, cropping or mixed farming enterprises.
Jobs include farm manager, specialist livestock production manager and owner manager small farm products.

Timetables are distributed to students on first day of attendance.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Policy: Students are required to supply and wear PPE – this includes wear long trousers, cotton drill shirt, fully enclosed leather boots, hat and sun screen during all outdoor activities.

Students must also supply pens, pencils, paper, USB and calculator.

Fee explanatory text: This training is subsidised by the NSW Government, and as a result your fee is determined through Training Services NSW formal eligibility criteria. This criteria will determine your exact fee. Students who meet additional specified criteria, may be eligible for a concession fee or a fee exemption. In claiming the concession or exemption students will be required to supply the required evidence to support the claim in accord with the requirements of Smart and Skilled eligibility.

Payment Plans are available through TAFE NSW for Smart and Skilled eligible qualifications.

To activate your eligibility you must pay the student fee component PRIOR to commencement of the learning activity.
