About: **STUDY COMMITMENT**

This is a Part time Evening course. You will need to attend approximately 3 hours of class, 1 day per week, 2 years. As well as the in-class component, you will need to complete approximately 7 hours of other study per week.

You may also be required to complete approximately 5 hours of additional study each week outside of class hours, including research and online work.

**IS THIS COURSE RIGHT FOR YOU?**

This course offering is designed for volunteers, trainees and existing workers in the conservation and land management industry and people who want to manage conservation and land management enterprises and activities. The Diploma course is designed for learners who already have Certificate 3 qualifications in a related horticultural field, or with extensive horticultural industry experience.

If you do apply for a VET Student Loan you will need to have your Tax File Number (TFN) handy. If you do not have a TFN you can apply for one through most Australia Post outlets, and obtain an Application for a TFN. Once you receive your TFN from the Australian Tax Office (ATO) you must contact your college so they can arrange for you to enter it into your Vet Student Loan application.

The cost of this course will vary based on your eligibility for a Smart and Skilled Student Fee. Eligibility criteria can be found on the Smart and Skilled website or you can call us on 131 601 for further information and advice.

VET Student Loans are available for this course. The Unit of Study fees below apply if this is not your first qualification. Your actual fee may be less depending on your previous study. We will advise you of any fee reductions you are entitled to before you enrol.
Course fees: $4,820
Fee explanatory text: This training is subsidised by the NSW Government, and as a result your fee is determined through Training Services NSW formal eligibility criteria. This criteria will determine your exact fee. Students who meet additional specified criteria, may be eligible for a fee exemption. In claiming the exemption students will be required to supply the required evidence to support the claim in accordance with the requirements of Smart and Skilled eligibility.

You will be provided with a timetable, assessment guides, advice about additional materials you may need to purchase and information on the support services available to you.

Activate your student portal account which allows you to check your results, see fees and payments, and download your timetable.

To activate your account, go to https://my.tafensw.edu.au and login with your username and password, which was created as part of the online enrolment process and/or included on your receipt. Call us on 131 601 if you need it to be reset.

Once logged in, change your password and create 3 secret questions and answers.

Speak with customer service staff on campus to get your TAFECard which gives you special access to printing, copying and other services.
