Description: This qualification reflects the role of individuals who apply a broad range of technical skills in photo imaging, including lighting, image capture, enhancements and manipulation and output.

Practice at this level is predominately digital. It is underpinned by the application of integrated technical, theoretical and historical knowledge of photo imaging and the ability to develop concepts and solutions in response to a brief.

Practitioners may work in a range of industry contexts, including retail, commercial, domestic portrait, media, wedding, illustrative, institutional and art photography.

**STUDY COMMITMENT**

This is a Full Time Face to Face course. You will need to attend approximately 16 hours of class, over 3 days a week, for 36 weeks. As well as the in-class component, you will need to complete approximately 5 hours of other study per week.

You may also be required to complete approximately 3 hours of additional study each week outside of class hours, including (Private study, personal camera practice and familiarisation, work experience and research, assignment preparation).

**IS THIS COURSE RIGHT FOR YOU?**

This course offering is designed for people who:
- Students will be starting out in industry in junior or unpaid roles, recent school leavers or those who have studied photography or visual arts and/or or have completed introductory photography programs. These students will want to begin their journey into sound production by attaining introductory skills in camera usage, lighting, editing, darkroom processing and business skills.

Fee explanatory text: **ADDITIONAL RESOURCES**

You will need to provide for yourself the following resources which you will keep when you complete your study:
- Student are encouraged to bring their own DSLR camera and accessories to the course to aid in familiarisation. A standard allocation of consumables will be provided incluiding film, paper and equipment needed for the darkroom. Students wishing to use more than the standard allocation will need to purchase these separately.

Once logged in, change your password and create 3 secret questions and answers.
