Description: This qualification reflects the role of individuals who combine technical, creative and conceptual skills to create designs that meet client requirements and solve a range of visual communication challenges. Practice at this level is underpinned by application of design theory and practice and the ability to analyse and synthesise information from a range of sources to generate design solutions.

Practitioners may work in many different commercial and community contexts across both print and digital media.

Entry requirements: To enter this qualification, individuals must provide evidence of their technical skills and ability to:
- produce multiple examples of graphic design work that respond effectively to different design challenges
- produce typography that supports the overall design solution
- use graphic design industry software

Skills may have been acquired through personal or work experience, or through formal study.

About: **STUDY COMMITMENT**

This is a Full Time Face to Face course. You will need to attend approximately 16 hours of class, over 3 days a week, for 36 weeks. As well as the in-class component, you will need to complete approximately 12 hours of other study per week.

You may also be required to complete approximately 6 hours of additional study each week outside of class hours, including (private study, work experience and research, assignment preparation.).

**IS THIS COURSE RIGHT FOR YOU?**

This course offering is designed for people who:
- Students will either come from working in industry in junior roles or have completed introductory educational design programs such as the Cert IV in Design. These students will want to upskill in graphics related design work and to develop greater fluency and creativity.

You will be provided with a timetable, assessment guides, advice about additional materials you may need to purchase and information on the support services available to you.

Activate your student portal account which allows you to check your results, see fees and payments, and download your timetable.

To activate your account, go to https://my.tafensw.edu.au and login with your username and password, which was created as part of the online enrolment process and/or included on your receipt. Call us on 131 601 if you need it to be reset.

Once logged in, change your password and create 3 secret questions and answers.

Speak with customer service staff on campus to get your TAFECard which gives you special access to printing, copying and other services.
