Description: This qualification reflects the role of individuals who have professional level specialised, technical and theoretical skills to plan, carry out and evaluate photo imaging services.

Practice at this level is underpinned by application of design theory and the ability to critically
analyse and synthesise information from a range of sources.

Practitioners may work in a range of industry contexts, including commercial, domestic portrait, media, wedding, illustrative, institutional and art photography.

Entry requirements: To enter this qualification, individuals must have the conceptual, technical and organisational skills to use of a range of professional digital and/or film cameras and accessories to produce a folio of photo imaging work that demonstrates the ability to respond effectively to different photo imaging challenges and requirements.

Skills and knowledge may have been acquired through experience, or through formal study.

About: **STUDY COMMITMENT**

This is a Full Time Face to Face course. You will need to attend approximately 16 hours of class, over 3 days a week, for 36 weeks. As well as the in-class component, you will need to complete approximately 6 hours of other study per week.

You may also be required to complete approximately 6 hours of additional study each week outside of class hours, including (private study, personal camera practice and familiarization, work experience and research, assignment preparation.).

**IS THIS COURSE RIGHT FOR YOU?**

This course offering is designed for people who:
- Students will want to extend their photography and photo imaging skills and knowledge to become independent operators and creative artists. These students will want to refine their skills in advanced camera usage, artistic lighting, deep editing, darkroom processing and business/freelancing skills. These students will want to move beyond simple point and shoot and delve into photography as an art form.

You will be provided with a timetable, assessment guides, advice about additional materials you may need to purchase and information on the support services available to you.

Activate your student portal account which allows you to check your results, see fees and payments, and download your timetable.

To activate your account, go to https://my.tafensw.edu.au and login with your username and password, which was created as part of the online enrolment process and/or included on your receipt. Call us on 131 601 if you need it to be reset.

Once logged in, change your password and create 3 secret questions and answers.
