Description: This qualification describes the skills and knowledge of a bread baker who bakes bread products working in a commercial baking environment.

All work must be carried out to comply with workplace procedures, in accordance with State/Territory food safety, and work health and safety, regulations and legislation that apply to the workplace.

No occupational licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this unit at the time of publication.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Policy: Students are required to supply and wear PPE. Note: Any hair that is longer than collar length must be contained under a hat or hair net and hat.

Fee explanatory text: This training is subsidised by the NSW Government, and as a result your fee is determined through Training Services NSW formal eligibility criteria. In claiming the concession or exemption, students will be required to supply the required evidence to support the claim in accord with the requirements of Smart and Skilled eligibility.
This course is for Apprentices Only. Tools and Uniform Requirements: You are required to wear the trade uniform to all practical lessons Students costs are:

• Full Chefs uniform ($80.00) including Neckerchief Light Blue
• Leather safety boots ($60.00)
• Tool kit ($290.00)

To activate your eligibility you must pay the student fee component PRIOR to commencement of the learning activity.

You may be eligible for the Fee Free Apprenticeship which will be verified at enrolment.
