Description: The Diploma of Civil Construction Design reflects the role of personnel working as designers or design para-professionals who support professional engineers. They perform tasks involving a high level of autonomy and requiring the application of significant judgement in planning and determining the selection of equipment/roles/techniques for themselves and others. They are required to develop site specific work designs to ensure the implementation of the clients site requirements. They demonstrate the application of a broad range of technical, managerial, coordination and planning skills.

No licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.

Ideal course for Civil CAD drafters, Civil Technicians, Assistant to Civil Engineer or Project Manager. Articulation to the University of Wollongong available to complete the Civil Degree with significant exemptions.

Attendance will commence on Monday the 11th of February at TAFE NSW Wollongong in room I205. Days and times of attendance are as follows.

Monday 9am – 8pm Tuesday 9am – 4.30pm Wednesday 9am – 1 pm Thursday 9am – 1pm Saturdays Term 2

Application next steps: Your application will now be assessed and we will let you know the outcome. If you indicated you would like a VET Student Loan we will be in touch with you soon to assess your eligibility and to explain how to proceed.

If you do apply for a VET Student Loan you will need to have your Tax File Number (TFN) handy. If you do not have a TFN you can apply for one through most Australian Post outlets, and obtain a Certificate of Application for a TFN. Once you receive your TFN from the Australian Tax Office (ATO) you must contact your college so they can arrange for you to enter it into your VET Student Loan application. 
Smart and Skilled: This training is subsidised by the NSW Government
(TAFE NSW - Provider Code: 90003)

The cost of this course will vary based on your eligibility for a Smart and Skilled Student Fee. Eligibility criteria can be found on the Smart and Skilled website or you can call us on 131 601 for further information and advice.

VET Student Loans are available for this course. The Unit of Study fees below apply if this is not your first qualification. Your actual fee may be less depending on your previous study. We will advise you of any fee reductions you are entitled to before you enrol.
Course fees: $4,260
Fee explanatory text: This training is subsidised by the NSW Government, and as a result your fee is determined through Training Services NSW formal eligibility criteria. This criteria will determine your exact fee. Students who meet additional specified criteria, may be eligible for a fee exemption. In claiming the exemption students will be required to supply the required evidence to support the claim in accordance with the requirements of Smart and Skilled eligibility.
Comments: First day of attendance is Monday February 11th at TAFE NSW Wollongong, Room i205. There will be some Saturday Classes from 4th May to 22 June 2019.
