At TAFE NSW we provide training that includes hands-on, practical experience. Work placement ensures you have the job-ready skills to achieve competency in this course.

Should you choose to complete the nominated 252 hours in industry, you will need to arrange work placement with a suitable employer. Your teachers will arrange an appointment with you to provide more information.

If you are unable to secure work placement with an industry partner, you will be required to complete 252 hours of salon work in a simulated workplace environment. This will occur at your campus location during normal class times on days nominated by your teaching section.

Whether you are enrolled full-time or part-time, it is recommended that you start your work placement in week one (1) from the start of your enrolment.
