Description: A set of skills to equip individuals for serving alcohol responsibly.

Pathways Information Achievement of this unit provides credit towards qualifications in tourism, travel, hospitality, events, holiday parks and resorts in the SIT Tourism, Travel and Hospitality Training Package.

Licensing/Regulatory Information Certification requirements apply at a state and territory level to individuals involved in the sale, service and promotional service of alcohol in licenced premises. Certification in some States relies on the achievement of SITHFAB002 Provide responsible service of alcohol.

Responsible service of alcohol (RSA) legislative and knowledge requirements differ across borders. Those developing training to support the RSA unit must consult the relevant state or territory liquor licensing authority to determine any accreditation arrangements for courses, trainers and assessors. 
Entry requirements: There are no entry requirements for this course. 
Career opportunities: This skill set is for personnel involved in the sale, service, and promotional service of alcohol in licensed premises. It also applies to the licensee who is ultimately responsible for managing the responsible service of alcohol.

If you hold a valid competency card that is reaching expiry, Liquor & Gaming NSW will contact you by email and/or SMS about how to renew your card. The reminders begin 90 days before the card expires and are sent to the email address and mobile number you used to apply for your competency card. You must enrol with correct ID and address details as NSW Liquor and Gaming will not issue Competency Card unless details are matched. E.g.: Enrol using all names including middle names and residential address as shown on identification documents.

You will be required to provide identification. Please bring photo ID with you on the day you enrol.

You must be 17 years or over to access this training (but will not be able to obtain compentancy card until age 18).

Course fees: $165
Fee explanatory text: Please enrol and pay the fee at least 7 days prior to the start date to secure your place. The fee for this course is $165.00, the cost of the competency card is included in the course fee. An interim certificate will be mailed to you once you have successfully completed the course.

This training is not subsidised by Government funding. There are no fee exemptions, concessions or subsidies available for this course.

Where Fee for Service is being sponsored by an employer or third party organisation an official purchase order or contract arrangement must be in place to activate the student’s enrolment.

Payment of course fee must be made PRIOR to commencement of learning activity.
Comments: This course will run for One Day on Friday 13th of September 2019, at TAFE NSW Wollongong. It commences from 9:00am to 3:30pm. Please go to Block V, Ground Floor, Twenty Twenty Restaurant.
