The Diploma in Electrical Engineering is also available as a Traineeship. 
Entry requirements: There are no formal educational requirements for entry to this course.

However, the Electrotechnology Training Package recommends typical language, literacy and numeracy skill levels needed to successfully complete each Competency Standard Unit undertaken within this qualification.

Learners should either be in relevant employment or have access to appropriate simulated workplace environments to achieve the completion requirements of this course. 
Learning pathways: Completion of this qualification, with appropriate elective units, can provide credit towards an Advanced Diploma of Electrical Engineering. 
Career opportunities: Electrical engineering technician.

Application next steps: Your application will now be assessed and we will let you know the outcome. If you indicated you would like a VET Student Loan we will be in touch with you soon to assess your eligibility and to explain how to proceed.

If you do apply for a VET Student Loan you will need to have your Tax File Number (TFN) handy. If you do not have a TFN you can apply for one through most Australia Post outlets, and obtain a Certificate of Application for a TFN. Once you receive your TFN from the Australian Tax Office (ATO) you must contact your college so they can arrange for you to enter it into your VET Student Loan application.

The cost of this course will vary based on your eligibility for a Smart and Skilled Student Fee. Eligibility criteria can be found on the Smart and Skilled website or you can call us on 131 601 for further information and advice.

VET Student Loans are available for this course. The Unit of Study fees below apply if this is not your first qualification. Your actual fee may be less depending on your previous study. We will advise you of any fee reductions you are entitled to before you enrol.
Course fees: $8,260
Fee explanatory text: This training is subsidised by the NSW Government, and as a result your fee is determined through Training Services NSW formal eligibility criteria. This criteria will determine your exact fee. Students who meet additional specified criteria, may be eligible for a fee exemption. In claiming the exemption students will be required to supply the required evidence to support the claim in accordance with the requirements of Smart and Skilled eligibility.
Comments: This Diploma course has been designed to provide a pathway for those who have already completed a Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician AND a Certificate IV in Industrial Electronics (or equivalent). These courses will be credited towards the Diploma once evidence is supplied. Enrolment and delivery details will be provided via an invitation to an information session prior to the course start date. The first evening of attendance will be Monday 4th of February 2019.
